This is website is given shape with a thought to provide a platform to connect people traveling to and from Seattle to/from India, especially for elderly people, to find companions to make their international travel easy and little less anxious and for those who want to offer help.

Register yourself by submitting your details and verifying your email id. (Make sure you check Spam folder for the verification email). Once you are registered you can fill in the form and enter your details if you have them ready. If your dates are tentative, we still have a solution for you. Once you log in you can view all the active forms that are registered with us, just that their names and contact details are not disclosed. If you think any of those dates is working out for you to book a ticket, go ahead and fill in the form. Once there is a match/possible match, Team Travelsakha sends out an email to those two or more parties with contact information, so they can take the conversation forward.

  • Two sets of parents can be each other’s companions.
  • A family travelling with kids can be a companion to elderly parents and vice versa.
  • Book a wheelchair for your parents irrespective of finding a companion. This will ensure they are guided right by the airport staff in any circumstances.
  • Set your expectations right and talk to your companion a few days before you are set to fly, that way you are aware of each other by face and voice.

No worries. We are here to help. Just fill in your information in Contact us and your query will be redirected to Admins and your query will be answered in 24-48 hrs.

Filling in the form does not guarantee a match. If you have a match Admins will contact, you through email within 24-48 hours of finding a match. If you haven’t heard from us, then it is more likely that you do not have a match yet. Alternatively, since those who log in have access to the up-to-date information of records we have received, can contact admin, if they think they have a match / they are flexible to change their travel plans to match someone’s.

No. We just are the bridge to provide you the platform to find a companion and hold their identities secured until they find match. But if someone changes their travel plans and forgets to update their record on the website, we may not be aware of that. In that case we would not be able to help much.

Nothing. We do not expect anything in return but a good feed back that can encourage others to trust the process is always Welcome. Also, if you really wish to pass the good forward, we have two nonprofit groups that we support. Once in USA and one in India. You are more than welcome to donate any amount of your choice. If you have received an email from us, the information should be below the signature.

About Us

Thank you for visiting this page. Kapil and I(Kavitha) reside in greater Seattle area for about 8 years now and live here with our two daughters. We've had our parents from India visit us several times and have always had a small wish at the back of our minds: that they could have someone to help them when needed or travel with same-age companions. Sometimes they found someone, but other times they didn't. A few weeks ago, a friend asked if I knew anyone who could be a companion for her mother. I thought of making a WhatsApp group.Though the friend found a companion from her own group, this WhatsApp group became popular, and queries started pouring in. So, I decided to give it a proper structure and started monitoring it. Soon, people found companions and sent messages expressing their relief. Their parents happily landed in Seattle, and the group was very helpful.

Kapil saw me spending around 2-3 hours every day managing the group, answering questions, and updating data. He decided to utilize his knowledge and research to create a basic website that will reduce the time I spend on manual tasks and rather use it to help people. Also,website would be a preferred resource for people than a watsapp group as they can now add/edit/delete their data as applicable, while their details more secure, and that way we could expect more people to trust us and register more. The more people register and update their travel details, the higher the chances of finding a companion traveling on the same flight. We plan to upgrade the website in the future.

We currently do not charge for the service and neither plan to do so in the near future. Having said that if someone really finds this helpful and wishes to donate something we shall redirect them to the non-profit groups we support, there by the funds big or small are put to good use.

Hope to help more people like this with some or other ideas and ways in our own best capacity, now and in future.
